Edward Chang

Edward Fuk Loy Chang, 94, of Hilo, died April 15, 2019, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born on Aug. 17, 1924, in Wailuku, he was retired purchasing agent for the former C. Brewer & Company, LTD. and a U.S. Army Air Corps World War II veteran. He was also an instructor for Hilo Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido and a member of various golf clubs.

Services were held. No flowers and monetary donations.

He is survived by son, Michael (Cathie) Chang of Hilo; sister, Frances Sherrard of Hilo; brother, Harold Chang of Honolulu, Oahu; one sister-in-law; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul Graffe

Paul Rayel Graffe, 51, of Kailua-Kona, died April 15, 2019, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Fort Rucker, Ala. on Dec. 20, 1967, he was employed at BMW of Hawaii Kona as center manager for 10 years. He was a part of West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery and a supporter of Kona Mauka Rotary Club.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 p.m. June 2 at the West Hawaii Community Health Center Kealakehe Pavilion, located at 74-5214 Keanalehu Drive in Kealakehe. The family requests causal attire.

He is survived by his wife, Awapuhi Graffe of Kailua-Kona; mother, Cynthia and stepfather Leon Irons of Puyallup, Wash.; brothers, Dustin (Kelly) Irons and Brandon (Krista) Irons of Puyallup, Wash.; stepsons, Norman (Brandy) Caceres of Oahu and Dioron (Sharma) Caceres of Kailua-Kona; seven grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended ohana and friends.
